CCM -­‐ Comitato Collaborazione Medica is an INGO founded in 1968 in Italy and specialized in the health sector. Its core mission is contributing to the development processes which safeguard and promote the right to health, by acting with an integrated approach on the health needs and by influencing the social-­‐economical determinants. CCM aims at improving health conditions of the population in low-­‐ income countries and intervenes through projects of international cooperation, education to the world citizenship, advocacy activities and interventions of health promotion in the context of migration processes.

CCM cooperates with the local communities and authorities to strengthen and develop the health systems, to improve accessibility to and the quality of prevention and healthcare services. CCM cooperates with local organizations and promotes an integrated and holistic approach to health by working directly with other local and international organizations in cross-­‐cutting sectors which help the complete well-­‐being of the individual.
CCM has been continuously in South Sudan since 1983, with main focus on Warrap and Lakes States. In the country, CCM is MoH partner in supporting the development of integrated health and nutrition service delivery, to meet MoH priority targets according to the national health strategies and official guidelines.

In Warrap states, CCM in partnership with World Vision is implementing HPF2 project Lot 9 and Mother Teresa is the only hospital handling BEMONC and CEMONC as a referral Hospital in Twic state.

HPF 2 project Lot 9 is a 13 months project that started in Feb 2017 up to Feb 2018; (CCM) is implementing this project at Mother Teresa Hospital to ensure that, the projects achieve its set objectives.

To ensure smooth implementation of primary healthcare and nutrition services in Twic state, CCM intends to recruit qualified personnel to fill below position:

Reporting to: Project Manager

Objectives and general characteristics

To have a professional leader who is accountable for coordinating safe, high quality care to improve patients’ experience

· Providing leadership to clinical and direct care staff and ensure high standards of care

· Ensuring that administrative and services in the Hospital are of high standards of care

· Providing a visible, accessible and respected presence in wards for patients and their families.

Areas of responsibility

· Adheres to hospital policies and procedures as well as should guarantee other staff compliance.

· Coordinates and participates in the delivery of standard patient care ensuring compliance with physician’s orders under established policies and procedures.

· Identifies learning needs of staff and participate in the learning program.

· Serves as a role model for nursing employees and demonstrates leadership ability and management skills through fair decision making.

· Ensures prompt communication to arrange patient transfer /transport/ discharge and emergency.

· Monitors proper usage of equipment and proper care of materials to prevent misuse

· Makes shift schedule and verify assignments to ensure proper distribution and adequate allocation of duty.

· Makes monthly projection of supplies needed and reports for the Hospital.

· Prepares weekly schedule/reports and arranges annual leave of staff and ensures staffing adequacy.

· The post holder will be expected to undertake other duties in accordance with the evolving needs.

· 100%, full time (6-days work week) and ready to work extra time and take on night duty.

Requirements:

· Registered Nurse/Midwife/Clinical Officer

· A minimum of 5 years work experience post qualification at Hospital/Health facility settings.

· Be able to write and communicate in English language, experience in South Sudan is an asset.

· Ability to work under pressure with limited resources and minimal supervision
