DFID are seeking to recruit an Evaluation Manager to lead DFID’s flagship work on ‘nimble’ evaluation. Responding to a global desire for more rapid evidence, led Evaluation Unit to fund a portfolio of rapid, low-cost ‘nimble’ evaluations that would have the same rigour as previous large-scale impact evaluations, but be focused on more immediate implementation or short-term outcomes. These nimble evaluations would not only be able to provide rapid, robust evidence for the individual programmes to learn from, but also generate portfolio-level learning about nimble evaluation as one of the tools to support iterative and adaptive development programming. This exciting work is high profile and there is a lot of interest from senior leaders in the organisation and the wider international development evaluation community. The role would suit a person with a solid base in analytical and research skills, who are looking to develop them further.
